A new legislation in Illinois, USA, which forbade the use of electronic cigarettes and other electronic smoking devices in public places, went into effect on January 1, 2024, according to Telemundochicago.
HB 1540 states that the Smoke Free Illinois statute, which was initially approved in 2008, would now ban the use of these devices in indoor public spaces.
Additionally, this regulation states that using electronic smoking devices within 15 feet of public entrances is illegal.
