Australia will ban the import of disposable e-cigarettes from 2024 and strengthen regulations on the use of medical e-cigarettes

According to news medical, the Australian government cabinet has officially decided to ban the import of disposable e-cigarettes from January 1, 2024, while also improving the use of medical e-cigarettes to provide assistance to those who want to quit smoking.
Starting from March 1, 2024, the Australian government will also raise relevant legislation, including stopping the import of personal e-cigarettes, prohibiting the import of non therapeutic e-cigarettes, and requiring therapeutic e-cigarette importers and manufacturers to report to the Australian Therapeutic Products Administration that their products meet relevant product standards, as well as obtaining licenses and import permits from the Australian Government's Office of Drug Control.
