Currently, she is launching a large-scale campaign against various forms of smoking. The official from Madrid announced a comprehensive smoking prevention and control plan to change views on electronic cigarettes, smoke-free spaces, and other regulations to prevent addiction and protect public health.
Monica announced in a press release that "the spices used in tobacco derived products (such as cigarette holders, cigarette paper, and cigarette capsules) have now been completely banned," and the e-liquid used in e-cigarettes will be subject to "the same controls as traditional tobacco.". She also emphasized that the sale of electronic cigarette oil containing spices is now prohibited, and it is necessary to indicate on the label that this product is harmful to health. This regulation will take effect within three months after its publication.
At the same time, the Spanish Ministry of Health plans to completely ban smoking on bar terraces, public places such as parks, beaches, and near schools. This measure will apply to cigarettes, cigars, pipes, and e-cigarettes.
